2. Nature of the Service
TrainsRadar.com is an experimental and informational project that aggregates and visualizes public rail positioning data from multiple open sources. It is not an official service of any railway company or public body. The information displayed may contain errors, inaccuracies, delays or may be outdated at any time.
3. Personal Data We Collect
TrainsRadar collects the minimum amount of data necessary for the operation of the service:
3.1. Data provided voluntarily
- Contact/feedback form: name (optional), email address (optional), and the message content.
- Login (if applicable): basic profile data provided by the authentication provider (name, email).
3.2. Data collected automatically
- Technical browsing data: IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited, and timestamps. This data is used exclusively for maintenance, security, and anonymous usage statistics purposes.
- Geolocation: only if the user grants explicit permission through their browser, and solely for features such as proximity check-in. This information is not stored on our servers.
- Local preferences: the visual theme (light/dark), language, and selected country are stored exclusively in the user's browser (
localStorage) and are not transmitted to our servers.
3.3. Data we do NOT collect
- We do not collect payment data or financial information.
- We do not create behavioral profiles for advertising purposes.
- We do not sell or share personal data with third parties.
4. Purpose of Data Processing
- To provide the railway data visualization service.
- To respond to user inquiries and messages.
- To improve the technical performance of the website.
- To compile anonymous usage statistics.

Rail positioning and timetable data are obtained from the following public and open sources. TrainsRadar is not affiliated with any of these entities:
